28 Days

One of Australia’s longest-running and most respected punk bands, 28 Days, are celebrating three decades with an expanded run of Australian performances this October. Following sold-out major-city shows in June, the band will take their 30 Year Anniversary Tour across Victoria, Queensland, Western Australia and Tasmania, including a return to their hometown of Frankston.

Beginning at a Frankston skate park in the late 1990s, 28 Days quickly carved out their own place in Australian music. Their second studio album, Upstyledown, debuted at No.1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, achieved platinum sales and earned a nomination for Breakthrough Artist – Album at the 2001 ARIA Awards. Featuring Rip It Up, Say What? and Sucker, the album became part of the soundtrack to the Big Day Out, Homebake and Channel [V] era.

And, in celebration of the band’s 30th anniversary, Upstyledown will be available on vinyl for the first time ever. Three decades on, 28 Days continue to bring the same energy that first built their reputation, with this new run of shows celebrating a band that has stood the test of time in Australian music.
